Gradus

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

Gradus is an adaptive learning app for rigorous technical courses. This policy explains what data Gradus collects, why, and how it is handled.

Public demo

The public demo at /demo is designed to work without personal information. You do not need to sign in, enter an email address, or join the waitlist to use the demo. Demo progress is stored locally in your browser and is not synced to a Gradus account.

What we collect

What we do not collect

Where your data lives

Closed-beta progress data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account identifier, accessible only to you under Gradus security rules. Public demo progress is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted as account progress.

Classroom and school pilots

Classroom sections are opt-in pilot features. A student joins a section with a class code and grants classroom sharing for that section. Teachers can view bounded progress summaries for their own sections only. Gradus does not use classroom data for advertising or unrelated commercial profiling.

Third-party services

Gradus relies on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Hosting, App Check) to run. Waitlist notifications use Resend. By using Gradus you are also subject to the privacy practices of those services where they apply.
